Hey everyone I just read this..and my mates and me have applied as we run our own band as an artists we are always looking to network and find opportunitys, I came across this on this labels website, after seeing flyers for quite a few events they run and thought I would share this with you all..Thought you lot might be interested too..so thought I'd post it to you..

Winner of the Bradford Council Business Competition- M.R.S. Records, Run by Channel AKA Star Master RS and Bradford Enteprise is now officially a label and with funding and support from the council plus the Channel AKA stars earnings with the business. The label are looking to sign artists from any genre with a new sound... The benefits for the winner who signs to M.R.S. Records of this would be that the label will do the following for the invididual on sucessfully demo:

(1) Artist Management- Artist given specific manager, meetings, direction and help with their career ....Manager

(2) Promotion Manager- Artist given a PR Manager who will sit down with the artist discuss their core image, create a logo and style for the artist and a direction for their image and promotional work.

(3) More Events and PAs for an artist whenever the label hosts event, management will also look into where the artist wants to perform.

(4) Artist gets a fair cut, normally 80% which is agreed after demo of cd earnings

(5) Artist gets own merchandise range from keyrings to ....bag to t-....shirts..

(6) Music Videos, Interviews, Radio and PR all arranged for the winner plus the label will introduce the artist to the 'top' contacts within the industry in their area..Plus the winner will get their first music video shot for FREE!

(7) 1 Year Publishing Contract with M.R.S Records & 40 Stores..soon to be 400 stores as M.R.S. Records are currently in talk with more stores..

(8) 1 Year Record Deal with M.R.S. Records

(9) Support from not only M.R.S. Records but Bradford Enterprise/Council who support M.R.S. Records

(10) The successful winner will have their track featured on the 'West Coast Mixtape 110' which is highly huge and successful in the USA and was last hosted by Jay Sean. Theres much more this label can offer now too as they are working with other ....labels such as R.G.M. M.R.S. Next Level..and Rumour Records..and many others!

To Submit a demo for the competition it must be 1 track of mp3 format and of good quality and there is a fifteen pound charge per entrant/entry, this is to cover the admin costs for the thousands off applicants we are getting as we have to hire extra workers to check demos with the A & R Team, therefore do not bother sending unsolicited demos we will delete them straightaway.

All material will be given feedback on submittance and all payment is via Paypal. Open Mic UK; the national music competition for singers and solo artists in the UK. The competition travels across the country every year in the search for the UK's best singers, singer/songwriters, rappers and vocalists. It's open to all genres and acts can perform either covers or original material. Open Mic UK offers entrants not only the chance to win prizes, but the competitors the opportunity to perform live in some of the best music venues in the country.
