HMV buys MAMA Group

Entertainment firm HMV is expanding its live music offering by buying live music venue owner MAMA Group for £46m.

HMV’s already owns a 9.9% stake in MAMA, which owns and operates 11 concert venues which includes the Hammersmith Apollo. MAMA also runs an artist management business which represents bands such the Kaiser Chiefs.
