News Bytes!

Another day, another pile of emails to sort through for all you music.co.uk readers! Keep reading if you want to find out what’s been hitting our inbox this week!

First up we’ve received further details on the exciting I-Tunes shows that are being screened on ITV 2 at the moment. If you tune in tomorrow, you’ll catch Fearne Cotton and Dave Berry talking to none other than Snow Patrol (one of my favourites). Snow Patrol rocked the Roundhouse in Camden on July 5th, and caught up with the I-Tunes T.V crew after their show. Tune in at 8pm on June 10th to hear Gary Lightbody from the band, talk about touring America and playing football with Coldplay, and also one of their first gigs, as this teaser quote illustrates; “When we first started out, we played a strip club to around 15 people. It was a strip club during the day like a bad super hero and by night a rock venue. They had to screw the pole off stage for us so we could do the sound check.” Also look out for Emma Bunton and Comedian Kevin Bishop, who will be live in the studio. Tomorrow from 8pm, miss it, miss out!

Also on July 10th is the latest show from BEAT, the entertainment extravaganza hosted by social networking site Bebo. Presenter Ben Chancellor headed to the Wireless Festival in Hyde Park, and was kept busy interviewing N Dubz, Calvin Harris, Noisettes, Ironik, Tinchy Stryder, and Chipmunk. Listen out for all their chat, a Reverend and the Makers shouting match, and further interviews with Metro Station and DJ Toddla T. Visit www.bebo.com/beat tomorrow to catch all the action!

We’ve also had some news in about The Fame Games. A vocalist I work with called Zoe Handscomb, has made it through the first radio show stage of the Fame Games. This is an ongoing competition that gives artists and bands all over the world the chance to be heard online and throughout American radio. That’s How It Goes, which I co-wrote is now aiming for the semi-final, but it needs your help. Zoe is an amazing talent and would appreciate all of you checking out the relevant page, and voting/reviewing. Visit www.meermusic.com/zoehandscomb to show your support.

Last but by no means least, we have news on the supreme talent that is KT Tunstall. To me, it seems that she’s been a bit quiet of late, so I am delighted to announce she will be getting into the festival spirit with an appearance at “Harvest at Jimmys”. Her semi acoustic performance is sure to delight Suffolk festival goers at the event, and will give them a chance to hear songs from her forthcoming album. It’s something not to be missed, so put the 12th and 13th September in your diaries and head on over to www.harvestatjimmys.com for further information.
