When it comes to Christina Aguilera, sometimes I’ve loved her, and sometimes I’ve hated her. She’d released brilliant songs like ‘Beautiful’ and ‘Candyman’, but on the other side, she’s come up with tracks and an image that to me just cross the line, and don’t do her any favours. Sometimes she just tried too hard to be down dirty and sexy. The question now is, how will she fare with her new single ‘Not Myself Tonight’? Only one way to find out!

In some ways Christina has carried on where she left off with some of her previous releases, once again embracing the steamy, sexy, club vibe, only this time I think it has more class. The pulsing beats and hooks in the chorus stand strong, and she is back on form vocally as well. If she’s ‘not myself tonight’ then maybe that is a good thing, and will hold her in good stead for the release of her album ‘Bionic’. Full marks from me for this, and I look forward to seeing how her album does when it’s released in June.
