Lauren John
Hi, my names Lauren and I’m a creative Gemini from sunny Essex. I fell into writing almost by accident after leaving university, and haven’t looked back since. I have written for both online, and offline press, often specialising in music, but also taking on many other subjects, and pr work too. I also write song lyrics and have had some of my collaborations played on local radio, and attract some industry attention. I still can’t get used to hearing my songs on the radio, but it is a great buzz. In my spare time I make and sell homemade cards, read, watch films and TV programs, enjoy the Olympics, England Football Matches, and Tennis, take photo’s, cycle, and of course go to gigs as often as I can.
I love pop, some R&B/Hip Hop, Soul, 80’s music, and have lately got a taste for indie/rock. My favourite artists include Take That, Snow Patrol, Keane, Maroon 5, Robbie Williams, Ronan Keating, LeAnn Rimes, Beverley Knight, Anastacia, JLS, Lee Mead, The Script, Bon Jovi, Whitney Houston, Daniel Merriweather, and my local favourites Seven Summers and The Library Suits.
