London: The Camden Crawl (For Adults)

If you’re over 18 and a big fan of live music, then listen up! This years Camden Crawl is fast approaching and promises to be the biggest and best yet. This year’s event starts at Midday on Friday 24th April and goes on until the small hours of Sunday 26th April. There are 40 venues and 150 acts taking part in this year’s crawl, so there’s sure to be something for everyone!

For those of you who haven’t heard of it, the Camden Crawl is a two pronged attack on the Arts World. By day there are a wide variety of interactive events on offer, which include comedy, magic, arts and crafts, and live music. By night the focus is solely on live music, with a varied line-up of new and established acts, and some surprise special guests who could turn up at anytime, in any venue. Although these special guests remain a closely guarded secret, excitement is already brewing over the line-up details that have been announced.

The acts appearing include, Idlewild, Billy Bragg, Echo And The Bunnymen, Ipso Facto, Little Boots, Fight Like Apes, The Little Comets, and Josh Weller. All these acts and much more can be accessed with a Camden Crawl Wristband. These are available for single days (£32.50) or both days of the festival (£55.00). The wristband gives you access to all events, venues, live performances, and after show parties (capacity permitting). Ticket holders will also get an event programme/schedule, a free download album, and a map, to help them plan their time at Camden Crawl.

If all this sounds appealing, but you can’t make it to the event, then make sure you keep your eyes on MTV, and your ears tuned into BBC 6 Music. Both broadcast partners will be joint hosts at the Roundhouse venue, and as such, will be recording the headline acts, special guests, and all the action backstage. This will be broadcast over several special programs after the event.

Tickets are available via the credit card hotline on 0871 2200 260 / See Tickets 020 7403 3331 or online at www.thecamdencrawl.com. The website also has full details of the daytime and evening programmes.

If you’re reading this and you’re under 18, then I’m sorry but it’s time to hang up the no entry sign, but don’t worry because the Red Ball Bedroom Jam Team are back for a second year, hosting their X-Crawl event exclusively for 14-18’s, so you won’t miss out on all the fun.
